Beige has been a fixture in the Southwest community of Little Burgundy since the day it opened. Owner Michael Stratulak came up with the idea for Beige after noticing that Montreal lacked a true concept store that he had come to expect from large, cosmopolitan cities. Inspired by the shops of Paris, London and New York, he took his years of training and experience in retail and interior design from his native Calgary and took a chance in the up and coming neighborhood.
Now front and center of a thriving district once dominated by factories, warehouses and antique dealers, Notre-Dame Ouest is now home to some of the best restaurants, shops and residential projects in the city. Like the neighborhood itself, Beige has changed and grown over the years.
In 2014 Beige moved to its current location at 2480 Notre Dame West. With its new, more spacious locale, Beige was able to expand all of their classic departments they'd come to be known for. Furniture, lighting, accessories, tabletop, bedding, bath and spa all under one roof.
